For Symphony fans and quite surely, for the betterment of our community, the expansion of the Key West Symphony Orchestra is noteworthy. As patrons enter the auditoriums for each of our performances we just can’t get enough of the excitement surrounding us.
This season brings many milestones. We have expanded our regional performances while featuring truly world class artists. We will begin each Master Concert Series in Key West (the Tennessee Williams Theatre) then touring to Fort Lauderdale (the Broward Center for the Performing Arts) and Miami Beach (the Lincoln Theater and New World Symphony's Frank Gehry Campus) for each concert week. We will also be performing in West Palm Beach's Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.
Renowned composer Ellen Zwilich, upon hearing the Symphony last December at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, has asked Maestra Alfonso and the Orchestra to record her 5th Symphony to be released later this year.
“We strive for perfection, beauty, and the communication between us as a group to make the soul of the music become one entity that then is given to you.”
Sebrina Maria Alfonso
Maestra
Your enthusiastic response to our April Chamber Concert compelled us to add a Chamber Series featuring our talented symphony musicians in an incredible line up of music that will include Bach, Copland, Vivaldi, Dvorak, Ellen Zwilich's new Septet (which is written for a string quartet and piano trio) among other wonderful chamber works.
We look forward to delivering you an evening of music, culture, and beauty. Get your season tickets today!
