I attended last night’s concert in Aventura and was profoundly impressed how well the orchestra sounded. The Bruckner Symphony is an immense and deep work and I was amazed how Sebrina handled every detail and nuance with mastery. The orchestra’s response to her conducting and leadership brought honor to this great Symphony. Brava Sebrina!
Wow, I love the Dvorak piece, so beautifully done, and the Zwilich piece was just so clever and breathtaking. You never, ever cease to amaze me
When I moved from Manhattan to Wilton Manors, I thought that that was the end of great live classical music for me. Now I have the South Florida Symphony Orchestra thankfully, performing in Fort Lauderdale –. Hey, I’m hooked.
We strive for perfection, beauty & the communication between us as a group to make the soul of music become one entity that then is given to you.
The Brahm’s is such a powerful – and difficult – piece. Each of the entries, both piano and orchestra were perfect. So many times there is just a second, or even half-second delay but not last night. It was absolutely perfect.
The South Florida Symphony is a breath of fresh air for this area. This symphony, with its magnificent full sound, is as fine as any major symphony in the United States.
The emergence of a major regional symphony orchestra in South Florida has long been awaited. In an important debut concert, the South Florida Symphony exhibited strong professionalism and fine musicianship. This new ensemble is highly promising.
